Ed & Labor Committee Hearing: What is MSHA Doing to Protect Miners from the Resurgence of Black Lung Disease?

June 20th, 2019 — The House Committee on Education and Labor held a hearing today titled, “Breathless and Betrayed: What is MSHA Doing to Protect Miners from the Resurgence of Black Lung Disease?”. Panelists included Dr. Robert Cohen of University of Illinois, Mr. Gary Hairston, Mr. Bruce Watzman formerly of National Mining Association, and Mr. Cecil Roberts of the UMWA.
