WEKU: U.S. Interior Secretary comes to Kentucky to announce abandoned mines cleanup funding

Last week, our Director of Policy, Rebecca Shelton, spoke at a press conference alongside Secretary Haaland, labor leaders, and state Secretary Goodman to announce $74 million in funding for abandoned mine land remediation in Kentucky. This was quite a meaningful moment for ACLC after more than seven years of advocating for this program.
