Wes Addington discusses black lung on WMMT's Mountain News and World Report

October 30, 2012 Black Lung

Community radio station WMMT features ACLC attorney Wes Addington on their weekly news program Mountain News and World Report.  Wes was interviewed as part of a report on the black lung provision of the Affordable Care Act, also known as “Obamacare,” which has already benefited miners across the coalfields.  Thanks in part to the efforts of the late Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, the ACA makes it easier for coal miners to get benefits for black lung disease.  In this report, WMMT’s Rich Kirby sits down with Wes Addington to understand the changes.
