Victory for coal miner Scott Howard in Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, in a published opinion, affirmed an Administrative Law Judge’s decision in ACLC client Scott Howard’s 105(c) discrimination claim against Cumberland River Coal Company, which found Scott’s firing to be unlawful discrimination and ordered him permanently reinstated in his job.
Scott Howard works as an underground coal miner and has been a powerful advocate for safe working conditions for miners.
