ACLC’s Director of Policy and Organizing Rebecca Shelton co-released a report on the impact of the POWER initiative on coal communities. “As these programs evolve, it’s important to understand where we’ve been to map out where we’re going,” added Rebecca Shelton, coauthor and Director of Policy and Organizing at the Appalachian Citizens’ Law Center. “With this report, we hope that we can take these lessons from the POWER Initiative—whether it be the distribution of funding or the identification of what those funds were used for—to inform the efficient, equitable distribution of resources.” The report was co-released by ACLC, Resources for the Future (RFF), and Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).
